MARTIN SADDLERY, THE COMPANY COWBOYS KEEP
There is no substitute for passion and a quest towards perfection in what you do. Each Martin Saddle is made by the hands of talented and passionate craftsman making each saddle step by step and of the highest quality raw materials. Unlike anywhere else in the industry, our employee’s work and passion are one in the same.
We manufacture our exclusive Axis® saddle trees in-house to ensure quality focus, precision, and undivided attention to the fine details in each one produced. Our trees are made of South Dakota white pine wood and cut with precise angles of alignment for symmetry and measurable balance. Our end goal is providing full, even contact with the horses back throughout the entire length of the bar. The bars are carefully spaced to allow adequate spine relief with a one-of-a-kind flare that forgives as it corresponds to the contours of the horses back. Our flared design helps relieve uneven pressure points and accommodates the movement of the horse’s shoulder and loin. Comfort and performance for both the horse and rider is our number one priority.
ALL IN THE DETAILS
After the tree is completed, the saddle is covered with the highest quality Hermann Oak leather and the esthetic artistry begins. Our saddles can be made in one of three rich leather colors; chestnut, natural or chocolate with countless available accommodating design options. This allows each saddle its own uniqueness to fit the horse and rider’s individual style with the functionality to excel in and out of the arena.
Whether it is the tree, the leather, or the fine stitched edges, each step in the design process is treated with equal importance. We believe in the beauty of the details leaving no stone unturned. Much like our customers riding our saddles, we strive to go the extra mile whenever possible. We believe that mantra can be seen in every hand carved seat and every hand painted detail of our saddles and tack. No matter the advances in technology, there is no substitute for human artistry. In a world where change is inevitable, we take great pride in creating saddles made for the modern rider built with a classic foundation made to stand the test of time.
